Listen, farting is something that we all do. In fact, it’s one of the few things that unify us as a species – we all fart, and most of us do it several times a day. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Why are you blushing?
So, in jest, I’ve put together a list of some of the best songs about farting. Read on for the fragrant tracks.
1. Everybody Farts by Howdytoons
Starting us off is “Everybody Farts, ” a humorous song but has a pretty accurate message – everybody does fart—literally everybody. And I know it’s supposed to be a joke, but it’s honestly quite catchy.
It’s the kind of song you’re supposed to listen to while also watching the music video – the music and the video are two halves of the same story, and they feel incomplete without one another. Overall, it’s my favorite song about farting.
2. The Fart Song by FART MAN
Next up is a song far from ‘silent but violent’ – it’s the loud and proud “Fart Song” by the FART MAN himself. This song is pretty much everything you’d expect. It’s a bunch of farts mixed into a goofy beat.
For better or for worse, I’ll give this song one thing: it’s unbelievably catchy. So catchy that I physically had to restrain myself from humming it several times after listening to it for the first time. You have been warned.
3. Everybody Farts by Ylvis
You probably know Ylvis from their incredibly famous song “What Does the Fox Say?” but they’ve since moved on to bigger and better things. Case and point, “Everybody Farts,” which they wrote for Discovery+, and which quickly became wildly popular for obvious reasons.
Again, this is the kind of song that you’re going to want to enjoy with the music video, if for nothing else but a bit of fun. Since it’s a Discovery+ song, it’s actually pretty informative, and you just might learn something.
4. My Bum It Goes (Prrrp) by koit
Yes, I just sat in front of my computer and typed that, and I’ll do it again in a heartbeat. “My Bum it Goes” is a ridiculous song by Koit and is once again one of those songs you just have to watch the music video for.
The animation is not the best, but it’s part of what gives this ridiculous track its personality. “My Bum it Goes” isn’t complete without its utterly insane accompanying visuals.
5. The Fart Song by Bob’s Burgers
If you’ve never watched an episode of Bob’s Burgers, you’re honestly missing out on something pretty special. It’s an incredibly witty show known for its rapid-fire punchlines and dark, dry sense of humor. It’s on Netflix, so you have no excuse not to watch it!
As I’m sure, you would have guessed, “The Fart Song” is a song about farts. It occurs in a part of the show where a group of particularly rowdy students decides to play their song about farts over their school intercom – hilarity ensues.
6. Who Farted? By Koo Koo Kanga Roo
This is one of the longest songs on this list, clocking in at over 3 minutes long. For reference, most of the other songs have been under 2 minutes long, and while I’m certainly not complaining, I do think that Koo Koo Kanga Roo deserves a little bit of credit for their ability to write a full-length fart song.
This song has an exciting synth feel and is different from the other tracks on this list. It actually feels like it could be a great song if the subject matter were slightly different—definitely one of the best songs about farts out there.
7. Taco Farts by Mr Farts
In stereotypical American fashion, “Taco Farts” takes on a flamenco feel, with that classical Spanish guitar and soaring, singing trumpets. This would actually be a beautiful song if it wasn’t about, well, you know.
The music video is also an enjoyable experience if you don’t mind looking at animated poop for a minute and a half. It follows a funny storyline and is an excellent way for you to kill a few brain cells.
8. I Can’t Stop Farting by The Queers
This song may not be for everyone, but if you aren’t easily offended, you may have a good couple of chuckles from this tongue-in-cheek song. This song is featured on The Queer’s “Love Songs for the Retarded” album, which tells you all you need to know.
Aside from having some great melodies and lots of punky sass, this song is very catchy, and you may find yourself humming this song on your drive to work or relaying the stupid humor to your friends.
9. I Farted by Freakwincey
If you’re in the mood to laugh for three and a half minutes, then might I suggest listening to “I Farted” by Freakwincey. The song disguises itself as a spooky rap song but has some pretty funny moments – the best, by far, being right at the beginning of the song.
This is one of my favorite songs about farting, primarily because of how ridiculous it actually is. It seems that Freakwincey is serious about the subject matter of this song, and I respect him for it.
10. Justin Bieber Farts by The Toilet Bowl Cleaners
If you ever wanted to make your favorite teen idol a little more relatable or are just trying to get over your crush on Justin Bieber, you should check out “Justin Bieber Farts” by The Toilet Bowl Cleaners.
The vocals are atrocious and sound precisely like nails on a chalkboard. But it’s still a hilarious song and is honestly worth a listen if you’re just in the mood for a quick laugh.
