JOYO is a Chinese company that is known for manufacturing clones of popular guitar effects pedals. They claim that all their pedals are individually tried and tested by musicians working in the industry.
Have you ever wondered which pedals they are emulating? Well then you have come to the right place! We have gone and compiled a list of the corresponding pedals that JOYO have cloned in their product line.

Thank you for this guide Kelly, it will help enthusiasts know what’s real and what’s not. I find that genuine joyo pedals are immune to distortion unlike their cloned counterparts. My friend Peter has a useful post review on these pedals http://wadesound.com/compressors/joyo-pedals-review-2018/
Great list, exactly what I was looking for. Are you sure that the JF-10 compressor was based on the MRX? I heard it was based on the classic Ross compressor circuitry. Either would be fine, it’s a great box.
The Comp is a three knob while the dyna and Ross are two. I’ve read somewhere else that this clone of the Boss CS-2 the 80’s 3 knob version. I have the Joyo and the vintage Boss. And they sound very close. I also have a dyna comp reissue and it sounds nothing like the boss or Joyo.
Thank you for this list! Was looking for just this breakdown. Valuable resource. Do you mind if I link to it from my website guitarpedalhub.com?
I would like to hear some of these onto pedals and reviews.
Would be nice to see Joyo’s current R-series pedals (and equivalents) shown.
R01 Tauren = Klon
R02 Taichi = Dumble amp
and others
The JF-09 tremolo is certainly not a clone/copy of the Tremodillo, because on pictures of the JF-09 circuit I saw a vactrol (ldr+led in one case) proofing it’s a optical tremolo, which the Tremodillo certainly isn’t. The Tremodillo uses a transistor as a variable resistor to obtain the tremolo effect.
Here are pics of the circuitry of both:

Oh, and I can add that the Vintage Phase is based on the “script” version of the phase 90. Partly traced the circuitry a while ago. Uses different (cheaper?) transistors but still sounds excellent.
