Taylor Swift is known for her powerful and emotional ballads. Over the years, she has released numerous love songs that have touched the hearts of fans all over the world.

These tracks are sure to make you feel all kinds of emotions, from happiness to sadness. So sit back, relax, and enjoy this journey through some of Taylor’s most beloved love songs.

Here is my list of the 10 of the best Taylor Swift love songs!

1. You Are In Love

The first song on our list is “You Are In Love.” This track was released on her stunning album 1989 but we had to wait for the deluxe edition to hear it. It is a beautiful ballad about young love and first kisses.

The lyrics are incredibly sweet, and the song has a hauntingly beautiful melody that will stay with you long after you’ve heard it. She wrote it about the relationship of two friends which makes it quite unique when compared to many other love songs.

2. Daylight

Another track that deserves to be on my list of the best Taylor Swift love songs is “Daylight”. As album closers go, it doesn’t get much better than this as it was the end track on her 2019 release Lover.

It is a soulful ballad about the power of love. The lyrics are incredibly moving, and the melody is beautiful. If you’re looking for a song to make you feel the power of love, then “Daylight” is the track for you.

3. Lover

If you don’t know already, you can probably guess which album this song was from. Our third pick is “Lover” which was released in 2019 from the album of the same name. There are many great love songs on that record alone.

It is a passionate ballad about falling in love and dreams of the future. The lyrics are incredibly romantic, and the music hits you right in the feels. It was written about her relationship with Joe Alwyn which sadly didn’t last but at least we got this great song.

4. Call it What You Want

I love those Swift tracks where it shows her sassy side. The title of “Call it What You Want” is beautifully passive-aggressive and is essentially aimed at those who comment on her relationships. She doesn’t care what they say, she’s in love.

This song was released in 2017 and was featured on Taylor’s sixth studio album, Reputation. It is a sultry ballad about being in love. The lyrics are incredibly seductive as she intimately gives you a glimpse of her relationship.

It has all the elements of one of the best Taylor Swift love songs.

5. New Year’s Day

Here we stay with the Reputation album. “Call It What You Want” is the penultimate song from the album and this is the closer. It has been clear that Swift likes ending a record with a powerful love song.

It is a soft ballad about the power of love and the memories of the times you share together with a partner. The lyrics are incredibly beautiful, and I love that we get a simpler song that sounds similar to her early work.

6. Delicate

Next up is “Delicate.” This song was released in 2018 and was another that featured on the Reputation album. It was a record full of incredible love songs, as are most of her works if we’re being honest.

It is a light ballad about being in love. The lyrics are incredibly sweet, as is the music video. If you’re looking for a song to make you feel the joys and vulnerability of love, then “Delicate” is definitely the track for you.

7. Invisible String

“Invisible String” is one of the best Taylor Swift love songs, especially in the last few years. This song comes from her folklore album and beautifully uses metaphors to convey her message. The whole album was full of brilliant songs, as was evermore

It is an encapsulating ballad about being in love and the invisible string that connects two soulmates together. An aspect I love about this song is the references that she makes to her own work throughout it.

The song showcases her songwriting genius, which is only getting better.

8. Cornelia Street

Next up is “Cornelia Street” and we go back to her Lover album. While this is a love song about the early part of her relationship with Joe Alwyn, it also uses the street she was living in at the time as an important part of the story

She briefly rented an apartment on Cornelia Street while her other residence was being renovated and she uses this song to reminisce about how she connects it with that relationship. It’s a beautiful thought and helps to make it one of the best Taylor Swift love songs.

9. Enchanted

My ninth pick on the list of best Taylor Swift love songs is “Enchanted.” This song was released in 2010 and was featured on Taylor’s third studio album, Speak Now. I couldn’t let this list go without giving some credit to some of her earlier work.

It is a serene song about being in love with Adam Young who was in the band Owl City. The lyrics are sweet and it perfectly encapsulates her fairytale era. Despite it being her third album, it still has that naivety that was so beautiful about her early work.

10. Love Story

I end my list of the best Taylor Swift love songs with an absolute classic. We’re still not sure exactly who this song is about but the message is clear. Swift feels trapped in a situation where she has feelings for someone but life is getting in between them.

That’s why we get to hear the Romeo and Juliet references, and helps to make it the best Taylor Swift love song in the eyes of many. It has that infectious melody that you couldn’t get out of your head for days on end.

It sounded amazing then and it still sounds great today.
